Being a stay @ home mom does not mean that one is ‘unemployed’ and ‘unproductive’.
When one chooses to stay @ home, it is not to run away from a job that one does not like, instead, it is a belief, passion and opportunity to fulfill home responsibilities and matters first, before work.
But then what?
Kids will go to school, play independently and will require less of you, what do you do with that extra time?
Well, yes, you can relax, exercise and connect with others with common values, interests and more importantly, focus, but you will still have plenty more time left.
What you shouldn’t do is waste time excessively socializing or talking about matters that are insignificant or gossip. You shouldn’t waste your time complaining about not having a job or other significant responsibilities that will eventually catch up to you and drag you emotionally and physically down.
The only thing that you should do is to fill your cup with a clear goal for yourself that extends beyond ‘parenthood’ and start taking action towards fulfilling that goal.
Don’t let these precious moments pass you by, benefit from them, work towards filling your cup for you … for your family … and look forward to a future where your strengths and talents are put to good use.
